The suit incorporates curved padding (2) in the legs to protect the wearer's shins and knees.The padding is fixed solidly to the legs (1B) of the suit so that it does not become displaced during use, and each section of the padding can be made in one piece, e.g. by stamping from a synthetic material such as polyester or a plastic reinforced with carbon fibres.Each section of the padding has different degrees of curvature at the top and bottom being shaped especially to protect the knees and shins. They can be fixed to the garment, for example, by welding or sewing.
