Data updating procedure on EEPROM data storage

The updating procedure commences with storing in a location of the memory the current value of the data and in another location the previous value of the data. Each of these locations also holds a flag indicating the data is the current value or previous value.New data is written to the location holding the previous value, and the flag at that location set to indicate updating is in process. The flag attached to the current location is then altered to show it is the previous value and the flag at the newly updated location altered to show it is the current location.
