PURPOSE:To provide a multicolor LED display panel having high picture quality capable of lighting respective color LEDs in accordance with ambient external light and easily controlling the brightness of red and green LEDs in the case of developing white. CONSTITUTION:An optical sensor 1 for detecting the intensity of the ambient light is installed in the vicinity of a display part 4, and also a control part 2 includes a deciding means 2a for deciding whether or not the detected light intensity exceeds a prescribed value, and in the case that the light intensity exceeds a prescribed value, it is inhibited by the control part 2 that a control signal for driving a blue LED is supplied to drivers 6a to 6c, meanwhile, in the case that the detected light intensity is equal to or below a prescribed value, the driving voltage for each LED is adjusted by the control part 2 so as to obtain white light, or control signals for driving the red LED, the green LED and the blue LED are supplied to the drivers 6a to 6c by the control part 2 through an adjustment circuit for adjusting the lighting time of the red LED and the green LED.
