PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for storing data in a composite document. CONSTITUTION: The method and device for storing data in a file is provided. Data to be constituted as a file bundle 100 is given within the composite document. The file bundle 100 is such a file system file as including a subfile which can be hierarchically constituted. Data within the file bundle file is preferably stored by a format defined by a program generating data. The program generating data opens the file bundle 100 generated by another program to directly access data within this file bundle file.
