PURPOSE:To easily adjust the length of strip depending on each terminal of a variety of wires in small amount by forming a cutter blade and a strip blade with a cutter unit and then measuring and adjusting the length of strip formed at the end portion of a covered wire with the movement of the cutter unit. CONSTITUTION:After a wire W is fed while the length thereof is measured with a length measuring and feed roller 1, a leading part W4 of wire is held with a clamping apparatus 9 and the wire W is cut with a cutter blade 5 of the cutter unit 2. Next, the length measuring and feed roller 1 is rotated inversely to return the trailing wire W3 as long as the strip and simultaneously the cutter unit 2 is moved with a feed screw 3 along it so that the cutter unit 2 is returned as long as the strip. Thereafter, the trailing wire W3 is held with the clamp apparatus 8, the cutter unit 2 is moved forward to give cut with strip blades 6, 7 to the wire W. The wires W4, W3 are respectively moved forward and backward with the clamp apparatuses 9, 8 to remove the insulator Wa to form each strip W1. |
