PURPOSE:To form a drawing locus approximating the handwriting of a brush-written style, a thick pen-written style, or the like by drawing the locus while not only gradually reducing the line width in the drawing position corresponding to an accelerated handwriting position but also gradually increasing the line width in the handwriting position corresponding to a decelerated handwriting position. CONSTITUTION:A speed information calculating part 4 receives coordinate position information from a coordinate detecting part 2 and reads the time of coordinate position information input from a time output part 3 and calculates the going direction of an input pen, the going speed, the acceleration as the variation of the going speed, the degree of change of the going direction, the pen start point, and the pen end point basing on coordinate position data of at least two points having time information. A drawing locus determining part 5 determines the line width of the locus of the pen in accordance with the calculation result of the speed information calculating part 4 and determines a brush-written style shape to be added to stroke start and end point parts and generates brush-written style locus forming information. A drawing locus display part 6 displays the drawing locus on a display device based on this information. |
