LIGHT FREQUENCY TAPPING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To provide a light frequency tapping circuit capable of easily taking out a light having an arbitrary carrier frequency from a multiplexed wavelength light without using a variable wavelength optical filter. CONSTITUTION:A first light frequency converter part 1 performs the frequency conversion of an inputted signal light by means of the interaction of a signal light with a pumping light in a nonlinear substance. A second light frequency converter part 2 inputs a light signal from the output stage of the first light frequency converter part 1 and performs the frequency conversion of an inputted light by means of the interaction of the input light with the pumping light in the nonlinear substance so as to take out the arbitrary frequency of a carrier light with the fixed filtering characteristic. A light signal pickup part 3 having the fixed filtering characteristic takes out a desired signal from the light signal of the output stage of the second light frequency converter part 2.
