PURPOSE:To easily generate the two-dimensional projection picture of an object where a continuous pattern is mapped on a desired adjacent surface in CG picture generation. CONSTITUTION:Form data obtained by expressing the form of the object constituted by plural polygons by the coordinate values of respective apexes and the arrangement of the apexes defining the polygons is inputted to a development diagram generation device 12 from a form input device 10. The device 12 generates a development where all the polygons constituting the object form are developed based on the data. An interactive development diagram editing device 14 edits the development diagram on a display. A projection picture generation device 20 overlaps a mapping texture picture inputted from a texture picture input device 16 with the edited development diagram, and texture is mapped at the time of generating the projection picture based on a texture coordinate value given to an apex coordinate as the development diagram at that time. Then, the position of the form is designated based on the information from an information input device 18, the positions of a light and a camera are designated and the two-dimensional projection picture is generated.
