PURPOSE:To prevent an over discharge of a battery and to enable prolongation of the lifetime of the battery without lowering a generation output, by limiting an output of a motor to a power generated by an engine driven generator when a residual discharge capacity of the battery lowers to a prescribed value in the course of operation of the engine driven generator. CONSTITUTION:When a residual discharge capacity of a battery 14 lowers to a prescribed value, a vehicle controller 22 limits an output of a motor 10 to an output G generated by an engine driven generator 16. In the state wherein the limitation is made in this way, accordingly, the output of the motor 10 is supplied only by a power generated by the engine driven generator 16. According to this constitution, contraction of the lifetime of the battery due to a deep discharge can be prevented. |
