PURPOSE:To provide a low-priced water absorbing packing of processed resin having excellent texture and high mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION:The fiber of this packing contains 10 to 50wt.% of highly water absorbing fiber, and also 3 to 50wt.% of resin is contained in the packing. The highly water absorbing fiber should preferably be composed by copolymerizing and thermally bridging monomer having a carboxylic acid group, another monomer having a hydroxyl group capable of forming a polyester bridge bond in reaction with the carboxylic acid group, and another monomer having carboxylic acid alkaline metal salt group. At the same time, the highly water absorbing fiber should preferably be capable of absorbing 1,200wt.% or more but less than 3,000wt.% of a physiological salt solution. Also, the resin should preferably be natural resin, synthetic rubber, acrylic resin, urethane resin or vinyl acetate resin. |
