METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VALIDATION OF CIRCULATING POINTER

PURPOSE: To realize validity of a useful circular pointer by removing all pointers from the set of the circular pointers indicating a selection position in a memory during prescribed time. CONSTITUTION: A target pointer is set as a unique pointer against the position selected in an address possible memory. A FIFO controller, a monitor circuit 110 and memory FIFO 114 are provided for a buffer manager 100. The circular pointer is stored until it is used in the system. The controller 112 controls the reading and writing of FIFO 114 in accordance with a pointer request in an input lead line 118 and a pointer return request in a lead line 140. The circuit 110 conducts a test on the respective target pointers and recognizes a push request line 138 to the controller 112. When the return pointer recognizes a valid circuit, it checks the range in an OOR check 130 and removes the pointer indicating the place beyond the range. Thus, the validity of the useful circular pointer can be realized.
