PURPOSE:To deal with a signal processing circuit in a digital VCR for a format to be recorded in the future and to enlarge the use of the digital VCR. CONSTITUTION:An IC card reader/writer 2 is incorporated in the digital VCR 1. Control data corresponding to the transmission system of the video signal and the streamer, etc., of a digital broardcast to be recorded are stored in the IC card 3 previously, and the signal processing circuit of the digital VCR 1 is controlled based on the control data. The signal processing circuit is constituted of DSP, and the operation of the circuit is controlled so that the synchronous block length, etc., of recording data are varied. Further, by connecting a modem to a host interface 2c, this device is used as the terminal of an IC card application system of a home banking, a home shopping, etc., by connecting with the host computers of a bank and a department store, etc., through the public telephone network. |
