PURPOSE:To provide an image processor capable of accurately detecting and recognizing the position of an object while keeping an image multilevel in spite of the quantity of the light quantity irregularity of an optical system. CONSTITUTION:The processor is provided with a light quantity irregularity measuring device 10 measuring the light quantity irregularity in an image caught by a TV camera 1 and a light quantity irregularity correcting device 11 calculating a correcting quantity which is necessary for removing the light quantity irregularity from image data from the light quantity irregularity measuring device 10. By correction data which is previously calculated based on image data from the light quantity irregularity measuring device 10, image data directly supplied from the TV camera 1 to the light quantity irregularity correcting device 11 is corrected, removed of light quantity irregularity and fetched into an image memory 2. A normalized correlation value between the image stored by the image memory 2 and the image stored by a template memory 3 is calculated by a computing element 4 and the result is supplied to CPU 12 to detect and recognize an objective pattern. At the time of segmenting a template image based on the image from the TV camera 1, the light quantity irregularity correcting device 11 removes the light quantity irregularity. |
