摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a sufficient and uniform adhesion with an electrode by wetting the minimum quantity of an ion exchange resin on an electrode face, and prevent the interference of the electrode reaction, by forming a specific thin layer on the surface of the ion exchange membrane. CONSTITUTION: An organic solvent of cyclohexanol or the like is mixed with a commercial naphion solution, to dissolve and disperse the naphion, and a solvent is volatiled to be adjusted at 3,000 cpoise. One side face of the naphion film of the ion exchange membrane is coated with the solution to form an ion conductive thin layer of 0.01-20 micron m thickness, having a glass transition temperature lower than that of the naphion film. A catalyst electrode and a current collecting electrode are superposed on the thin layer side, and are press attached by a hot press at 90-130 deg.C. The wet depth of the naphion in the catalyst electrode can be made several μm at minimum, the adhesion with the electrode is enough, the whole face is uniform, and the electrode reaction is not disturbed.
