Deafness prevention system including microphone

摘要

In normal operation a transducer is applied to a coupler (1). The coupler has a shape designed to simulate the acoustic behaviour of auditive channel in a human by using different transducers. Inside the coupler is a microphone (2) which measures the acoustic air pressure. The signal detected is processed by a measuring system (3) which calculates the magnitudes of the characteristics which cause a risk of deafness.These values are transmitted to an indicator (4). The indicator (4) communicates to the user data concerning the assessed risk when the signal transmitting transducer in the coupler is applied to a human ear. Energy for the system is supplied by a unit (5).
