Radio receiver with memory holding reception frequencies

The radio receiver has a memory (MEM) in which information groups (IF1.1,..,IF.k; IF2.1,..,IF2.m; IFx.1,..,IFx.n) for the different reception frequencies are held. The memory is coupled to a processor (CPU) employing a control programme for tuning the receiver to each frequency within a selected information group, in response to a corresponding input command.The reception quality of each successive frequency is measured and the receiver is tuned to the frequency with the best reception quality. The reception quality of the reception frequencies is determined from their measured field strengths.
