Drive using pressurised fluid

The drive using pressurised fluid has a piston-cylinder arrangement where the sliding element is in contact with a cam which engages with a pivoted curved sleeve running in a curved path. This converts the axial movement into a rotary movement of a shaft. At least two piston-cylinder (4,9) pairs are used. The curved sleeve (12) is located within them and their sliding movement is parallel to the axis of rotation for the sleeve. The moving parts of the piston-cylinder pairs are joined to a coupling ring on which the cams (16) are located. If there are four pairs, then the pistons are fixed and the cylinders slide.
