<p>The invention concerns a method and device which exploit the cavitation effect. The method involves passing a hydrodynamic stream through a flow-through channel (5) in which is situated an unstreamlined body (7) which creates local constrictions in the stream in at least two segments (12, 13), thus also generating cavitation fields downstream of the constrictions. The ratio of the flow rate in each segment (12, 13) to the flow rate of the free dispersion system at the channel outlet (5) is maintained at 2:1, while the cavitation level does not fall below 0.5. The device contains an unstreamlined body (7) consisting of at least two components which create their own cavitation fields which differ according to cavitation level. The invention is for use primarily in the production of emulsions.</p> |
