<p>The present invention uses a metal or ceramic cutting edge heated with hot air or indirectly transmitted heat instead of a conventional cutting system using a hot nichrome wire for interlockingly heat cutting a cloth of a large width on a loom, to a plurality of linearly extending pieces to obtain cloths of a small width. In the hot nichrome wire system, a cut surface of a synthetic fiber cloth is burnt, and the resin is glued and solidified, and the solidified resin is deposited on the cut surface to roughen the same. However, in the cutting system according to the present invention, a cut surface is smooth and soft and does not fray, so that this system is very effective.</p> |
