The stereoscopic microscope has a main objective (4) and 2 parallel viewing channels on the opposite side of the latter to the object (0) supplied with respective partial beams (9,10) in alternation, to obtain respective stereoscopic images. The latter are fed in alternation to an electronic image screen to provide a 3-dimensional image of the object.Pref. the partial beams are supplied in alternation via a chopper disc, the respective stereoscopic images supplied to a television camera, coupled to a display monitor.
