DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A LENO-WEAVE SELVEDGE

Described is a device for producing a leno-weave selvedge, the device having a sliding block designed to hold at least one, but preferably two, crossing threads and at least one needle for the stationary thread. The needle and the sliding block can move in opposite directions, the sliding block (8) being guided by guide elements (1, 2) which have control means by means of which the crossing threads (9, 10) are moved alternately from one side of the needle (6) to the other side in order to produce the leno-weave selvedge.
