Rubber gas-barrier laminate, esp for fluorocarbon gas

A rubber laminate with high impermeability to gas is claimed, comprising a plastic film layer (1), a rubber layer (3) and a gas-barrier interlayer (2) consisting of the hardened prod. of an organosilane of formula (I). To achieve impermeability to fluorocarbon gas in partic., the surface of film (1) on which interlayer (2) is formed is pre-modified by low-temp. plasma treatment or corona discharge treatment.R1, R2 = satd. or unsatd. hydrocarbyl or alkoxy; R3, R4 = satd. or unsatd. hydrocarbyl.Also claimed is a plastic tube made of such a laminate. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of such a laminate, by modifying the surface of plastic film as above, coating with a soln. of (I), hardening the silane (I) (pref. by irradiation with UV) and coating with a layer of rubber.
