Turning unit for assembly of transformer core-plates - includes height setting elements for supporting the plates during their orientation process

The turning unit for orientation of transformer core plates (2) on a conveyor system delivering them to an assembly station is characterised by the presence of:- a) several parallel conveyor belts (1) belonging to the conveyor system, with spaces between them; b) a turning unit (4, 30, 50) above the belts (1), for lifting and orienting the plates (2); c) several height setting elements (6) located between the conveyor belts (1) and provided with ends (6A) having a lower coefft of friction than that of the belts. During orientation of the plates by the turning unit, the ends (6a) of the height setting elements are raised above the level of the conveyor belt tops. USE/ADVANTAGE - For production of transformer cores. The dimensions of the turning unit are reduced in comparison with known equipment.
