<p>A core (20) for compressed core wound paper products adapted for rotation on a spindle is disclosed. The core (20) is deformable from a generally rounded configuration to a generally flattened configuration for transportation and storage. The core (20) includes tab portions (30) that are deformable to extend radially inward of core inner and outer surfaces (28, 26) to reduce core to spindle clearance when the core (20) is rounded for use.</p> |
