ALARM SYSTEM FOR MOVING ITEMS

An alarm system for moving items is made up of a receiving and transmitting unit (1 to 3) with a data store (8) for specific characteristics (5) of the item and a control device (4) which is connected to the data store and a signalling device (5) and actuated by a sensor unit (7), the movable item being within a mobile radio network. To the receiver (2) of the receiving and transmitting unit is allocated a code store (17) with an assessment unit (20) for alarm codes (C1 to C5) which can be fed in from outside and connected to the control device so that the transmission of item recognition signals (S'), the triggering of the signal generator or the interruption of individual functions of the moving item can be actuated via an interrupter unit (6) of a terminal. The item recognition signal is received by one of the mobile radio receiving and transmitting stations (9), and, with a recognition (L) of the location corresponding to the cell concerned, is taken via a mobile radio regenerator (10) to a signalling and location centre (11) and from there to various terminals (12, 13, 16). The proposed system makes location possible in an uncomplicated way and triggering the alarm and the location of the moving item can also be initiated from outside.
