The device described for carrying out urease tests for combined antrum/corpus biopsies to diagnose gastro-intestinal illnesses has a carrier plate, a schematic representation of the stomach on the plate, at lest one opening in the plate at the locations corresponding to the corpus and the antrum in the schematic representation of the stomach, an evaluation scale for assessment of the urease test and an area for data on the patient and for clinical data.
