Hand-held densitometer with motorised measuring head displacement

The densitometer has a rectangular housing (1) enclosing the measuring and control electronics. A flat standing surface (2) and a measuring head (3) are displaced parallel to the latter between a position within the housing and a measuring position in which to project through a measuring slit (4) in the plane of the standing surface.The displacement of the measuring head is controlled via a reversible electric motor (8) with its shaft (9) parallel to the housing longitudinal axis and coupled directly to the measuring head via a crank mechanism (11) moved between two end stops. The setting drive has elements providing end position indication pulses.
