In a method for converting digitised television signals or digital RGB signals in a television receiver with a first vertical frequency into a television signal having double the vertical frequency and/or double the line frequencies, the television signals or the RGB signals being sampled at a first clock rate for digital signal processing and the signals of at least one line each being stored in a memory and being read out at a higher predefined clock rate, the digitised signal is subjected to a compression or expansion by means of an interpolation filter and written into the memory at the first clock rate for the purpose of adaptation to a line-coupled reproduction. |
