PURPOSE:To improve the strength of metallization, and printing and lamination properties by applying metallization to a film obtained from a composition wherein a specific high density polyethylene and a specific ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer are mixed in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:High density polyethylene of 90-10wt.% with a density of 0.94 or higher and ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer of 10-90wt.% with a density of 0.93 or lower which contains 4-8C alpha-olefin component are mixed together into a mixed polymer to form a composition, from which a polyethylene film is obtained, whereby a metallized polyethylene film is produced by applying metallization to said film as a base film. When an undrawn film, which is produced by melt-extruding the composition by means of an extruder and a T-die and by cooling it rapidly by means of a cooling roller, is used as a polyethylene film, better evenness and wound shape, etc., can be achieved. Further, metals for metallization include aluminum, gold, silver, copper, tin, zinc, etc. |
