Novel photographic elements contain a support bearing at least one photographic silver halide emulsion layer associated with a dye-forming bicyclic pyrazolo-based coupler, wherein the layer has associated therewith a high-boiling phosphate solvent, a stabilizer, and wherein the coupler has a fully substituted carbon at the 6-position. The elements are useful in photographic materials and processes and provide materials exhibiting improved light stability.
