PURPOSE:To obtain the subject material which is excellent in hydrophilicity and lubricating properties and can be molded without causing seizure, crack, peel, etc., of the films and without damages such as breaking. CONSTITUTION:This metallic material is prepared by forming a hydrophilic film of at least one member selected from among an alkali silicate, colloidal silica, alumina sol and a hydrophilic organic polymeric material on the surface of an aluminum-containing metallic material as a base, coating the film with a treatment solution containing a compound having at least one group selected from among polyalkylene oxide, hydroxyl, amide carboxyl, sulfonic, phosphonic and amino groups per molecule in a dry coating weight of 1-300mg/m<2>, and drying the wet film. |
