<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the contamination of a paper sheet due to the seeping of the oil component of a paper feed faulty roller which is generated by the plastic deformation of the roller, suction between the rollers, and the paper feed disorder, etc., due to the partial deterioration of the frictional coefficient of the surface, in a retardation type paper feeding device. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding device is equipped with a feed roller 4 which is revolutionarily driven in a paper transport direction, retardation roller 5 which is revolution-driven with a certain torque in the paper returning direction, pressing means 6, 7, 9, and 10 which press both the rollers 4 and 5 by each prescribed force, and a press contact releasing means 10 which separates both the rollers 4 and 5 or weakens the press contact force. In the paper feed, the feed roller 4 and the retardation roller 5 are held in a press contact state, and only the paper sheet which directly contacts the feed roller 4 among at least two paper sheets introduced into the press contact nipping part N between both the rollers is allowed to pass through the press contact nipping part N by the feed roller 4, and the passing of the residual paper sheets is suppressed by the retardation roller 5, and the paper sheets can be separated and transported one by one.</p> |
