<p>PURPOSE: To provide a pawl assembly where a pawl is positioned at various angle positions. CONSTITUTION: A pawl assembly is provided with a threaded shaft 20 of non- circular section, a slender pawl 30 with a circular through hole 32, and a clip 40 that is mounted onto the shaft so that it cannot be rotated. The clips touches the pawl to prevent its rotation. The clip is provided with a non-circular through hole 41 corresponding to the non-circular section of the shaft and a curvature part 42 in contact with the side surface of the pawl to prevent rotation. By using this sort of clip, an accurate position in an axial direction on the shaft is provided and at the same time the pawl can be positioned at various angle positions. The pawl assembly can be used in latches for cabinets and the like.</p> |
