<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the dust generation quantity by making the surface roughness of the face of a punched cage slid with bearing rings and/or a rolling element nearly equal to the surface roughness of raceway surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Both inner and outer rings 2, 3 and a ball 5 are made of stainless steel such as SUS 440C and ceramic such as Si3N4, a cage 4 is made of stainless steel such as SUS 304, and a lubricant such as oil or grease is not used so that a rolling bearing can be properly used in the high-temperature vacuum environment. The surface roughness of the inner peripheries 7a of pockets 7 serving as ball guide faces of the cage 4 is made Rz 0.2mum or below nearly equal to the surface roughness of raceway surfaces 2a, 3a of both the inner and outer rings 2, 3. When the cage 4 is of the inner ring guide type, the surface roughness of the inner peripheries of guide faces 4a and the cage guide face 2b of the inner ring 2 is preferably made nearly equal to it. The dust generation quantity while in use is reduced, the pollution of the atmosphere in a clean room can be suppressed, and the damage of a rolling element and the raceway surface caused by abrasion powder can be suppressed.</p> |
