PURPOSE:To realize smooth transport by constituting a sub transport means by providing a specific transport mechanism to transport work retaining members to support both sides of a platelike member, in the case of a device equipped with the sub transport means to transport a platelike member in a right-angled direction from a transport line. CONSTITUTION:A pair of guide rails 11 (11A, 11B) are provide at a main transport line 10 to transport platelike member 1 such as a lead frame, and a pair of guide rails 21 (21A, 21B) are provided at a processing transport line 20 to carry in/out a platelike member 1 in regard to a processing device. Between the guide rails 11, 12, a sub transport means 30 whose transport direction meets at right angles with the guide rails 11, 21, is provided. This sub transport means 30 possesses work retaining plates 52A, 52B to support both sides of a platelike member 1, and these are driven ascendingly and descendingly by the operation of a cylinder 35, and at the same time are moved in travel by means of a special transport mechanism containing timing belts 46A, 46B to be turned through an electromagnetic brake and a clutch by means of a motor 61 common to each. |
