PURPOSE:To provide the manufacture of a plastic cover boot exhibiting excellent sealing performance at the small diameter fixed section. CONSTITUTION:A plastic cover boot 14 is manufactured where a small diameter fixed section 15 at one end, a large diameter fixed section 17 at the other end and a flexible shielding section 16 at the intermediate section are integrally formed into one. A prison is extruded out of an extruding head 1, and the parison is interposed between blow molding dies 6 while the small diameter fixed section 15 is being formed through the cavity 10 of the small diameter fixed section of each fixed section molding metal die 9. After the parison has been extruded, the blow molding dies 6 are closed, pressure fluid is then introduced into the parison, so that the flexible shielding section 16 and the large diameter fixed section 17 are then molded. |
