SAFETY DEVICE FOR USE WITH SAFETY BELT

PURPOSE: To safely and reliably holding an infant by providing an indicator means which indicates interconnection between buckle members and tongue members by changing visually readable indicias from a first color to a second color. CONSTITUTION: A buckle member 36 is connected to the upper end of a crotch belt 32 and receives a pair of tongue members 38 and 40 to interconnect shoulder belts 14 and 16 and the crotch belt 32. Indicator and ejector assemblies 44 and 46 mounted on the tongue members 38 and 40 have visually readable indicias in indicative apertures 50 and 52 which change as the tongues and buckle members are interconnected. The visually readable indicias in the apertures 50 and 52 change from red to green to clearly and readably show that the to members 38 and 40 and the buckle members 36 are reliably interconnected.
