POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION FOR FLAME RETARDANT MOLDING

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent impact resistance and a low anisotropy of molding shrinkage by blending an aromatic thermoplastic polyester with a brominated bisphenol compound, a specific inorganic filter and a specific modified polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition free from epoxy compound is obtained by the melt kneading of the mixture obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. of an aromatic thermoplastic polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4-0.9 and an end COOH concentration of 45-70meq/kg, (B) 0.5-25 pts.wt. of a brominated bisphenol compound, (C) 5-150 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler composed of a milled fiber of an average L/D (L is number-average fiber length; D is fiber diameter) of 10-30 and free from fiber of L/D >=30 and a granular and/or flaky inorganic solid (milled fiber content is <=60 pts.wt.) and (D) 3-30 pts.wt. of a modified polyolefin obtained by grafting 0.01-30wt.% of a glycidyl compound of formula (R is H or 1-6C alkyl; Ar is 6-20C aromatic hydrocarbon group having glycidoxy group; n=1-4) on 100wt.% of a polyolefin.
