PURPOSE:To provide a refractory composition excellent in shape retention and breakdown voltage resistance and to provide an electric wire and a cable respectively having a coating layer composed of this refractory composition. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a refractory composition produced by blending 100 pts.wt. polysiloxane, 1 to 10 pts.wt. compatibilizer, 10 to 50 pts.wt. inorganic fiber and 150 to 500 pts.wt. synthetic mica exhibiting >=1100 deg.C decomposition temperature as an inorganic filler and kneading the resultane mixture, and an electric wire and a cable having a coating layer composed of this refractory composition. |
