PURPOSE:To easily and accurately fitting together an outer cylinder and an outer decorative part and eliminate the outer cylinder trouble caused by impairment to its surface, etc. CONSTITUTION:A jig 10 is provided with a plurality of balls 3 arranged circumferentially in its cylindrical stopper-like part 1 and cam shafts 2 having tapering parts 21 vertically movable through the jig. This jig 10 is fitted over a metal-made outer cylinder 8 of writing instrument and the cam shaft 2 is moved downwardly in order for the balls 3 to be moved radially outwardly by its tapering part 21, whereby the outer cylinder 8 is plastically deformed from inside to outside to form a raised part 81 and whereby the raised part 81 is forced into an annular groove 91 formed in the inner surface of an outer decorative part 9 provided on the outer periphery of the outer cylinder 8. |
