PURPOSE:To prevent securely a device from flipping over two pieces of paper at one time, by a method in which, in the case of turning the pages of a booklet and the like by means of the rotation of a page-turning roller, a pressing member with the specific coefficient of friction is pressed to the upper surface of the booklet in the vicinity of the pace-turning roller and the coefficients of frictions between the page to be turned and the following page and that and the another following page in a sequence are selectively increased. CONSTITUTION:A condition for preventing the device from flipping over two pieces of paper at one time in a passbook 1 in the turning of pages is P+(mu2-mu1)f>(mu2-mu1)F, that is, P>(mu2, mu1)(F-f), wherein P is the stiffness of the page of the bank book 1, that is, buckling resistance 5, F is the pressure 10 of a page-turning roller 9, f is the pressure 12 of a member 11 for preventing the device from flipping over two pieces of paper at a time, mu1 and mu2 are the coefficients of frictions between a page 2 to be turned and the following page 3 and that and the another following page 4, respectively, mu3 is the coefficient of friction between the roller 9 and the page 2 to be turned, and mu4 is the coefficient of friction between the member 11 and the page 2 to be turned. Even if variations in the coefficients of frictions mu1 and mu2 between the page 2 and page 3 and that and page 4, respectively, become large, F decreases by an amount (f), and the device, therefore, hardly flips over two pieces of paper at a time. |
