PURPOSE:To easily and industrially obtain lanthanum manganite powder having a single perovskite phase, free from an unreacted moiety and exhibiting satisfactory flowability. CONSTITUTION:Solid granular ammonium carbonate is put in a mixed aq. soln. of mineral acid salts of La, Sr and Mn or La and Mn, they are brought into a reaction and the resulting precipitate is separated and fired to produce the objective lanthanum manganite powder having a compsn. represented by (La1-xSrx)yMnOz (where 0<=x<=0.5, 0.8<=y<=1 and z<=3) and <=45 deg. angle of repose. This powder exhibits satisfactory fluidity. |
