PURPOSE: To detect the position of the registering mark together printed on a material to be printed in slight cost with high accuracy by providing an additional distance reference mark on the material to be printed in the direction of a registering mark track. CONSTITUTION: Additional distance reference marks 18, 19 are provided on a sheet 5 and registering mark tracks 20, 21 are respectively arranged to the marks 18, 19. Signals generated when the marks 18, 19 and registering marks 17 are detected from distance reference marks sensors 14, 15 and registering mark sensors 12, 13 are supplied to a registering signal processing circuit device 22. The device 22 can be set to the constitution part of a machine control device 16. The control device 16 has the control or adjusting device 23 to which the registering regulation devices 24 of the indivisual printing parts of a multicolor rotary press are connected and a display device 25 for a registering mark error. The marks 18, 19 are advantageously generated by colors easily detected by the mark sensors 14, 15 by one printing part of the press. |
