PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of an image forming means by a system in which a power supply relay controls turning the current on or off to the image forming means on the basis on desired communication control conditions with a connection judgment circuit communicating with host computers. CONSTITUTION:When all the given power sources of host computers 102-105 are disconnected to render communication with every host computer impossible, a printer 101 is controlled so that its main power source 107 is automatically switched off; that is, a connection judgment means (connection judgment circuit 112) communicates with the host computers 102-105 to judge their connection state, and a power source adjustment means (power supply relay 108) adjusts switching the current on or off to an engine part. In this way, unnecessary power supply to the image forming means (image forming part 106) can be restricted. |
