PURPOSE:To provide large outbreak area and to promote durability. CONSTITUTION:A shield machine is constituted of a shell 20 of the machine, a spherical operation room 30 installed to the front end of the inside of the shell in a turnable manner, a driving jack 50 installed to the rear end of the inside of the shell and an excavator installed in the peripheral operation room and having a disc cutter 43 projected from an opening thereof. In the shield machine constituted so that the spherical operation room is turned to direct the cutter to the inside of the shell, it is constituted of a ring-shaped circumferential cutter 44 placed to the peripheral surface of the front of the machine and turned by interlocking with the disc cutter and a cartridge bit installed on the disc cutter at right angles to the axial center line in a slidable manner. In the case of driving, the cartridge bit is moved on the circumferential cutter, and in the case the spherical operation room is turned, the cartridge bit is stored in the outside diameter of the disc cutter. |
