PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fluid excellent in stability (i.e., durability as differential oil) and durability in repeated humping by using dimethylpolysiloxane as a base oil an adding a specified amount of a specified thiophosphoric ester to this oil. CONSTITUTION:Dimethylpolysiloxane of a viscosity of 1000-1000000cSt at 25 deg.C is used as a base oil and compounded with 1.5-2.5wt.%, based on the total amount of the base oil and the thiophosphoric ester of the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each H or a 1-20C hydrocarbon group; and R3 is a 1-20C hydrocarbon group having one ester bond) as an antiwear agent and 0.001-5wt.%, based on the total amount of the dimethylpolysiloxane and the antioxidant, at least one antioxidant selected from among an amine antioxidant, a phenolic antioxidant, an organoiron salt, an organocerium salt, an organozirconium salt and a combination thereof. Optional additives may be added to the obtained fluid in order to improve its properties. |
