PURPOSE:To improve maneuvering stability during high speed running of a rear axle housing mounting type motor truck by providing a trailing member having one end pivotally supported on an under carriage frame and the other end supported through an air spring device. CONSTITUTION:One end of a trailing member 20 extending in the longitudinal direction of a car body is rockably shackle-linked and pivotally supported on an under carriage frame 10 and an air spring device is located between the other end thereof being a free end part and the under carriage frame. A rear axle housing 16 is fixed to the intermediate part thereof through upper and lower U-shaped rubber pad members 36 by means of U-bolts. Steering around the pivotal mounting axis of an upper radius rod 58 arranged on a central line in the longitudinal direction of a car body is practicable. A steering mechanism for a rear axle housing comprises a pair of right and left lower radius rods 70, being intercoupled; a pair of right and left L-shaped levers 76 coupled to the lower radius rod, a connecting rod 80 to intercouple the right and left L-shaped levers, and a rear wheel steering actuator 84 coupled to one of the L-shaped levers. |
