<p>PURPOSE:To improve and stabilize the silver removing effect in the desilvering or silver recovering method by bringing the soln. containing silver into contact with a metallic copper. CONSTITUTION:While the soln. containing silver, preferable the soln. containing silver and halogen ion, especially a solution containing chlorine ion is cooled at ordinary temp. or below, preferably at <=10 deg.C, more preferably at <=3 deg.C, the soln. is allowed to contact with a metallic copper so as to remove silver from the soln., thus the desilvering or the recovery of silver is executed. In applying to the electrolysis of copper, the electrolytic solution containing copper nitrate or copper sulfate can be treated, especially when the copper electrolytic solution is discharged from the anode room and supplied to the cathode room of an electrolytic cell which is separated into the anode room and the cathode room with a separating membrane, and the high purity electrolytic copper containing <=0.01ppm silver can be produced from the copper electrolytic solution.</p> |
