PURPOSE:To obtain a device suitable for high-speed seek by arranging a core slider, a gimbals mechanism and a pressing mechanism so that they may be protruded above a seek arm. CONSTITUTION:This device is characterized by magnetic disc assembly 1 constituted symmetrically with respect to center line Y of pressing arm 5 in the axis direction. Seek arm 8 is so provided that magnetic head 1 of this constitution may be moved in parallel to the radius direction of magnetic disc 9. Magnetic head assenbly 1 is fixed onto the seek arm by fitting plate 6 so that the Y direction may be orthogonal to seek direction (b). Consequently, a magnetic head device suitable foe high-speed seek can be obtained because many magnetic head assemblies 1 can be mounted on seek arm 8. |
