PURPOSE:To largely improve work efficiency and construction cost by providing a fusion welding operating mechanism for relative displacement between a first cramp mechanism which nips and fixedly holds a pipe and a second cramp mechanism which is fitted slidably along the longitudinal direction of a strut. CONSTITUTION:The device as a whole is fixed relative to a synthetic resin pipe P through a first cramp mechanism A. A second cramp mechanism B fixes a saddle S1 in such condition that the axis of the saddle S1 accords strictly or approximately to the radial direction of the pipe P. Then the surface of the pipe P and the lower face of the saddle S1 are simultaneously melted by a melting device W. After lifting a handle 35, the device W is removed rapidly, and the handle 35 is lowered again to press the saddle S1 against the pipe P, effecting fusion welding between the saddle S1 and the pipe P. Then, the mechanism B is released and fitted with a liner, the external peripheral surface of the pipe P inside the saddle S1 is bored, and a branch pipe S2 is fixed. |
